At Bakkavor there are career opportunities across all of the functions that you would expect to find within a fast moving food manufacturing business. To illustrate the different roles we have across the Group we have provided a number of case studies in the ‘Our job families’ section which demonstrate how our employees have progressed their careers both within functions i.e. from a production operative to a production manager but also across functions such as moving from Production to Planning through to Finance.
The majority of our employees work as production operators, which have varying degrees of skill requirements. We have many examples of people starting as production operatives who go on to be developed into supervisors and managers.
We also have a wide range of administrative and managerial roles as well as specialist positions within different functions; such as Account Managers, Development Chefs, New Product Development Technologists, Accountants and HR professionals.
Seasonal work
Due to the nature of our businesses many sites have seasonal requirements for additional resource; particularly in our production based roles. If you are looking for work in the holiday periods it would be worth contacting a site local to you to enquire about any opportunities.

Key part in the selection process
To ensure we get the right person in the right role we tailor our selection methods to suit the position and to ensure the successful candidates meet the Bakkavor values. Our values are very important to us and therefore play a key part of the selection process so it is advisable that you are aware of them and that they mirror your own values.
